So the Severn RC open 10 on the U7B had 29 starters, 3 being Severn riders. By all accounts the conditions were as good as you could get! Arthur Franklin took the win (pictured below) riding a time of 20:01, not far off Matt Burden’s record that he set a couple of years ago.
Severn riders were Mike Horder (13th, 24:26), Jake Tay (16th, 4:49) and Graham Smith (28th, 28:10)
For me, I rode the Wales 100mi TT at Raglan, on a hastily re-arranged new course due to road works (R100/8B), which was super quick. There was a mis-communication somehow with the drinks station; there was a report of one rider doing 70 miles on just a 900ml bottle! Luckily, I had made my own arrangements, but still cramped up with 5k to go, so had to take it steady from there on. My eventual confirmed time was 3:48:31, putting me in 8th place. A massive pb for me, knocking off 18 mins from the welsh 100 8 years ago.
